Rating: - A "must have" book for Spanish Interpreters
The Interpreter's Companion is a must have resource, not only for use in a legal setting, but in several other professional settings which speak their own language, i.e. the medical profession. I wasn't sure if this book would live up to its' reviews but so far it has and is well worth it.

Rating: - An essential book for interpreters.
The Interpreter's Companion is an excellent resource for court interpreters, and for interpreters working in other settings. In no other book have I found such a variety of necessary information. The illustrated sections help immensely in the understanding of unfamiliar subjects. (i.e., Firearms, Traffic terms, Medical terms, etc.) I highly recommend this book to all working and aspiring Spanish/English interpreters.
