From the supplier: Artificial intelligence (AI), which includes expert systems and neural networks, is being used in businesses to enhance consistency in decision making. Expert systems, either rule-based or case-based, contain an inference engines that explain the reasoning behind the logic. Neural networks, based on the biological neuron, use mathematical formulations. Comparison of the expert system and the neural networks shows that either one can be used depending on the needs of the user.
